Overview
The Bolster legacy catalog includes entry-level assemblies, such as Level 1 kitchen, deck, basement, bathroom, fence and roofing templates. Each one gives you a simple skeleton for a proposal that you can then edit by adding pricing and pictures, or by adding and deleting line items.
Open the Estimate
- In the left-hand menu, click Jobs.
- Click Job list and select the estimate. You can also click Pipeline and select it from there.
- If the estimate is empty, on the Start your estimate screen, click Start from scratch.
Find Entry-Level Assemblies in the Bolster Legacy Catalog
- Click + Item, then click Item library. The Catalogs window opens.
- On the left, click Bolster legacy.
- In Search your catalog, enter Level 1. Level 1 items are the entry-level templates.
- Click the Type filter and select Assembly, then click Done. Only Level 1 assemblies are shown (for example, Level 1 - Kitchen, Level 1 - Deck, Level 1 - Basement, Level 1 - Fences, Level 1 - Bathroom and Level 1 - Roofing).
Add an Assembly to Your Estimate
- Check the box on the assembly you want to use (for example, Level 1 - Bathroom).
- Click Add to estimate. The assembly is added to your estimate.
- Click the arrow next to the assembly to open it and see its line items (for example, Demolition, Shower Enclosure, Bath Flooring and Toilet).
- Add your pricing, change pictures, and add or delete line items as needed.
Tips & Best Practices
- Start With a Skeleton: Entry-level assemblies are generic, so use them when you want a simple starting point that you fill in with your own pricing and details.
- Save Your Version: Once the assembly is in your proposal, it's yours to edit and save to your own catalog.
Why This Matters
- You can build a proposal quickly from a ready-made structure instead of starting from a blank estimate.
- After you edit an entry-level assembly, you can save it to your own catalog to reuse.
Summary
To import an entry-level assembly, open your estimate, click + Item, then Item library, and select Bolster legacy. Search for Level 1, filter Type to Assembly, check the assembly you want and add it to your estimate. Then add your pricing, pictures and line items, and save it to your own catalog if you want to reuse it.
