Overview
Construction Stages are what you attach to an item to interlock it with your schedule (the Gantt Chart). The system automatically assigns a construction stage to an item, but you may want to change that assignment, either to move it to a different stage or to double-check its accuracy.
Before You Begin
- Have the estimate you want to work in open and ready.
- Open the item you want to check (for example, Baseboard).
- Click the cube icon on that item.
- Select Production.
- Review the construction stage currently assigned to the item. This shows where in the order of operations the item gets completed.
- If you want to assign a different construction stage, use the search bar to find and select the one you want.
- If none of the existing stages fit, create your own construction stage.
Repeat this process for every item before saving the estimate as a template, so the stages are correctly set when the template is used in a schedule.
Why This Matters
- Construction stages interlock each item in your estimate with your schedule (Gantt Chart), so verifying or adjusting them ensures your timeline reflects the true order of operations.
Summary
Each item is automatically assigned a construction stage, which you can review or change by clicking the item's cube icon, selecting Production, and choosing a different stage from the search bar (or creating a new one) before saving the estimate as a template for use in a schedule.
