Overview
The Selections tab shows every selection you are offering in an estimate in one place, including customer selections and internal selections. From here you can pre-select an option for your client, lock it in, make selections optional, edit them, and change pricing.
Open the Selections Tab
- In the left-hand menu, click Jobs.
- Click Job list and select the estimate. You can also click Pipeline and select it from there.
- In the estimate's left sidebar, click Selections.
The Selections page lists each selection group, grouped by the section of the estimate it belongs to (for example, Kitchen Reno and Extras), with the Selected item next to each one. To switch between the two types of selections, click Customer selections or Internal selections in the top right corner.
Pre-Select an Option for Your Client
- Find the selection group you want to pre-select (for example, Toilet Model and Flush Performance).
- Click the dropdown under Selected item.
- Select the option you want. Each option shows its price.
Lock a Selection
If you already know which option is needed, such as to match existing areas of the house, you can lock the selection so your client can't change it. Your client might not see the other options being offered.
- Next to the selection group, click Unlocked. This locks the selection and prevents customer changes.
Make a Selection Optional
- Next to the selection group, click Not optional to make it optional.
Edit a Selection
- Next to the selection group, click Edit. The details open below the row, including the Selections group name, Selections group description/explanation, and Default selection.
- Make your changes.
Change Pricing
- In the price field to the right of the selected item, enter the new price.
Why This Matters
- You can see every selection offered in an estimate in one place, including internal selections.
- Pre-selecting and locking an option keeps your client from changing selections that have to match existing work.
Summary
To use the Selections tab, open the estimate and click Selections in the left sidebar. From there you can pre-select an option from the Selected item dropdown, click Unlocked to lock it, click Not optional to make it optional, click Edit to change the selection group, and update pricing. Use Customer selections and Internal selections to switch between the two types.
